Vooremägi, situated near the southern end of Lake Võrtsjärv, is
a historically valuable ancient fortified settlement site. The relative height of the hill is 10-11 metres, lenght - up to 44 metre, width- 34 metres.

Vooremägi is part of the Puka rural municipality and was a favourite location for joint parties of people from Valga, Tartu and Viljandi counties during the first period of national independence and after the Second World War, in the collective farm years.

Vooremägi today is a picturesque place of rest and a protected  archaelogical monument.
